SUMMARY:Presentation Meetup - Advent of Code
DESCRIPTION:Eric Poe will share about recent PHP community news. Then John
Kary will guide us in a holiday-themed group programming exercise followin
g AdventOfCode.com! No programming experience or laptop required to partic
ipate. Promise! Just your brain and problem solving skills.\n\nhttps://adv
entofcode.com/2019/about\n\nAdvent of Code is an Advent calendar of small
programming puzzles for any skill set and skill level using any programmin
g language. You don't need a computer science background to participate -
just a little programming knowledge and some problem solving skills will g
et you pretty far. Nor do you need a fancy computer\; every problem has a
solution that completes in at most 15 seconds on ten-year-old hardware.\n\
nLight refreshments will be provided.\n\nWe love Web Development and all t
hings PHP. Our meetings are often a little free-formed\, but we shoot for
 this schedule:\n\n6:00pm - Mingling / Meet and Greet\n\n6:15pm - Lightning
Talk:\n* Last Month in PHP\n\n6:30pm - Advent of Code (mob programming).
Bring a laptop if you'd like to share your solutions in the language of yo
ur choice.\n\nIf you are interested in speaking or would like to suggest a
future topic please suggest one: (http://www.meetup.com/kcphpug/suggestio
n/)\n\nAll Developers and Non-Developers Welcome!\n\nWe understand Web Dev
elopers often come from all backgrounds\, and many work in more languages
than PHP. Whether you're curious and just starting out\, dabble in PHP on
the weekends\, write custom PHP on a daily basis\, work in a framework lik
 e Symfony\, Zend Framework\, Silex\, Slim\, Laravel\, CakePHP or customize
CMS products like WordPress\, Drupal or Joomla\; our goal is that you wil
l find something new\, useful and thought provoking.\n\nhttps://www.larach
