SUMMARY:Presentation Meetup - Advent of Code
DESCRIPTION:Eric Poe will share about recent PHP community news. Then John
Kary will guide us in a holiday-themed group programming exercise followin
g AdventOfCode.com! No programming experience or laptop required to partic

entofcode.com/2020\n\nAdvent of Code is an Advent calendar of small progra

uage. You don't need a computer science background to participate - just a
little programming knowledge and some problem solving skills will get you
pretty far. Nor do you need a fancy computer\; every problem has a soluti
on that completes in at most 15 seconds on ten-year-old hardware.\n\nLight
refreshments will be provided.\n\nWe love Web Development and all things
PHP. Our meetings are often a little free-formed\, but we shoot for this s
 chedule:\n\n6:00pm - Mingling / Meet and Greet\n\n6:15pm - Lightning Talk:
\n* Last Month in PHP\n\n6:30pm - Advent of Code (mob programming). Bring
a laptop if you'd like to share your solutions in the language of your cho
ice.\n\nIf you are interested in speaking or would like to suggest a futur
e topic please suggest one: (http://www.meetup.com/kcphpug/suggestion/)\n\
nAll Developers and Non-Developers Welcome!\n\nWe understand Web Developer
s often come from all backgrounds\, and many work in more languages than P
HP. Whether you're curious and just starting out\, dabble in PHP on the we
ekends\, write custom PHP on a daily basis\, work in a framework like Symf
 ony\, Laminas\, Laravel\, Slim\, Laravel\, CakePHP or customize CMS produc
ts like WordPress\, Drupal or Joomla\; our goal is that you will find some
thing new\, useful and thought provoking.\n\nhttps://www.larachat.co/meeti
