 Serverless
DESCRIPTION:Location is the ezCompany office.\n\nTIME SCHEDULE\n19:00 - 19:
 30 - Welcome + drinks + pizza\n19:30 - 20:30 - Talk by Johnny van de Laar\
 n20:35 - 21:35 - Talk by Robert Slootjes\n\nEvent Sourcery:\nIn this talk
I'll take you upon a journey through the wondrous world of event sourcing.
As an event sorcerers apprentice\, I'll present to you some of the things
that I've learned during my own adventures of the past year.\n\nYou'll se
e how to build an Aggregate Root that writes events\, a projector that sto
res a read model in the database and a process manager that listens to eve
 nts and creates new ones!\n\nAbout Johnny:\nEver since I was a little boy\
, I dreamed about becoming a professional football player. As it turned ou
t I wasn't fit for such a job... simply because I'm a terrible football pl
ayer.\n\nIt turned out that people were willing to pay me for building web
sites and PHP applications. Therefore I'm doing my best\, building up a ca
reer as a PHP developer. Currently I work on some of the biggest real esta
te websites of the Netherlands.\n\nServerless:\nServerless does not mean t
here are no servers\; those are only just hidden from you. Scale with ease
without provisioning server and without paying for idle...is this for rea
l? Yes it is! After this talk you will understand why serverless architect
ure is great and you will be excited to create your own serverless solutio
ns to make your life easier. And last but not least...it's lot's of fun!\n
\nAbout Robert:\nRobert Slootjes\, Technical Director at MediaMonks HQ spe
cialized in backend development. Has spoken at many events in the last yea
rs and always excited to share knowledge with other developers.\n\nParking
:\nYou can park on the parking lot of ezCompany (for free). Be advised tha
t the intercom might not be active as we're all downstairs. We'll try to k
eep an eye on incoming cars.\n\nhttps://www.larachat.co/meetings/brabantph
